Medical examiner says Alex Cox, Lori Vallow's brother, died of natural causes
BOISE, Idaho (CBS2) — The Maricopa County Medical Examiner released information in the death of Alex Cox, Lori Vallow's brother.
The examiner said the primary cause of death was from natural causes. Specifically bilateral pulmonary thromboemboli, which is the medical phrase for blockage of an artery in the lungs.
The examiner also listed contributing causes of death as atherosclerotic and hypertensive cardiovascular disease, meaning his artery narrowed due to the buildup of plaque and he had high blood pressure that led to other complications.
Alex Cox's name may sound familiar as his sister's case has found it's way to the center of attention for most of Idaho and throughout the country.
Lori Vallow (Daybell)'s kids haven't been seen since September. She is currently waiting for her preliminary hearing where she is facing several charges, including two counts of felony abandonment in the disappearance of her children.
Her brother was a focal point news coverage, because he allegedly killed Lori's ex-husband in July 2019.
