Who are the judges on Glow Up: Britains Next Make Up Star? Meet Val Garland and Dominic Skinner
Taking a break from her hard-hitting documentaries, Stacey Dooley is currently hosting the BBC make-up competition show Glow Up: Britain’s Next Make Up Star.
The exciting series observes aspiring make-up artists as they compete in challenges to win a professional contract assisting some of the worlds most famous makeup masters.
The show’s contestants are judged by famous industry experts, and the finalists of the first series have now been revealed.

What is Glow Up: Britain’s Next Make-Up Star about?
The make-up based elimination series sees ten contestants work together as they compete to win a massive contract assisting some of the world’s most well-known make-up artists.
The contestants are given different creative briefs every week, where they use skill and originality to impress the head judges.
The semi-final saw the remaining contestant’s whittled down to just three, and they will compete against one another in the grand final on Wednesday, April 24th.

World-renowned makeup artist Val Garland has had her work featured on the covers of Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar and Allure to name just a few.
In May 2017, L’Oreal Paris named Val their Global Makeup Director and soon after she was named a contributing beauty editor for British Vogue.
Val is also a makeup artist to the stars, creating the legendary look for Lady Gaga’s Born This Way album cover.

Who is Glow Up judge Dominic Skinner?
Dominic’s makeup artistry is legendary in the world of fashion, having worked on shows in London, Paris & Milan with designers like Vivienne Westwood and Alexander McQueen.
He currently works as the Global Senior Artist for MAC cosmetics and travels doing makeup and body painting across music, film and TV.
Speaking about his role as a judge on Glow Up: Britain’s Next Makeup Star, Dominic told the BBC:
I want to find a make-up artist who is willing to take risks and to push themselves creatively, someone who is more inspired and hungry at the end of this process than they were at the beginning!

After a tough semi-final, the finalists were revealed to be 28-year-old Lee Easthope, as well as London-based make-up artist, Ellis.
Completing the 2019 final line-up is Youtube make-up star Nikki, who survived the bottom two for the fourth time.
Single mum Belinda just missed out on a spot in the final after being sent home during the semi-final.
